I am writing about my experience with Jim Pattinson Hyundai Coquitlam on December 12, 2025 thru January 10, 2026.
My wife and I were looking to purchase two new vehicles and had been shopping around the lower-mainland for a few weeks, but found the salesmen were pushy and focused on the sale and not me, the customer, until we walked into Jim Pattinson Hyundai Coquitlam. We were warmly greeted by our salesman Mr. Ardeshir GHORBANI. He had the vehicle that we requested over the phone pulled up to the covered area of the dealership warm and running and there was something different about his demeanor, he was not pushy, he didn’t try to oversell the vehicle and he knew how to read his customer, me. My wife and I got into the vehicle and he jumped in the back, he listened to my wife and I converse about all the things we knew about the vehicle and only jumped in to fill in the blanks where necessary. Our test drive was about 1/2 hour in which Mr. GHORBANI said very little, but instead let me enjoy driving the vehicle and its options, which was great because there is nothing worse than having some guy trying to overwhelm you with chatter while you are trying to enjoy a test drive. We arrived back at the dealership and parked under the covered area for about 25minutes while my wife and I discussed what we liked about the vehicle while Mr. GHORBANI now added useful information about the vehicle to our conversation. Once all our questions had been answered we went into the sales office and sat down….this is usually when sales guys try and oversell and manipulate numbers in their favor, at least in my experience, but Mr. GHORBANI did not do this, but rather listened to my budget and requests. Yes, I was trying to get the best deal possible and Mr. GHORBANI seemed like he wanted me to have the best deal possible. Turns out that his deal was unbelievable, in fact i was so impressed along with my wife that we purchased TWO of the same vehicles on the same day from Mr. GHORBANI. In fact another product advisor Mr. Frank FANG assisted in the sale of my wife’s vehicle and was just as impressive and laid back, this made the process of purchasing these vehicles actually relaxing and enjoyable, it certainly wasn’t the hard nosed, beat you with a stick approach we experienced at other dealerships, so i was very happy with both transactions. Their Financial Service Manager, Mrs. Maha ABUNNADI was equally easy to deal with on the days of picking up the vehicles and doing the paperwork. She was very prepared, professional and friendly. She had all the paperwork ready for signatures and most importantly, done correctly. I can’t remember a recent time in which I actually enjoyed a trouble free process at a dealership.
Just to be clear, I wasn’t asked to give this dealership a glowing review, it was earned, the staff did an honorable job at serving the customer and that is a rarity in my experience. So rating JP Hyundai Coquitlam is very easy for me, it is a FIVE STAR ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ dealership with no pressure sales. I look forward to dealing with them again on my next TWO vehicles in the future.

DO NOT COME HERE! We not only regret buying a used Hyundai Sonata, but we definitely regret buying it from here. It’s had so many more issues than the old junk Ford we bought the Hyundai to replace, and JP Hyundai Coquitlam is only too happy to charge us thousands of dollars more to fix up a constant stream of issues that shouldn’t be occurring in a certified pre-owned from a dealership in the first place. I guess I’m the sucker who bought a lemon, but we’re not well off, and it’s been a terrible, frustrating, and expensive experience. Don’t buy a Hyundai, and don’t buy from Jim Pattinson.
I visited this dealership after having a terrible experience at another brand’s dealership, where the salespeople were pushy and kept pressuring me to buy things I didn’t want. The difference here was night and day. At this dealership, the team was incredibly accommodating, patient, and respectful. Ava, the product advisor, was super friendly and patient while showing me the car and taking me out for a test drive. She made sure I had plenty of time to make adjustments so I could have a truly comfortable drive, which I really appreciated.

My wife and I bought a new Hyundai Tucson a few days ago. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and very easygoing. We weren't sure which vehicle we wanted for our growing family, so we test drove the Tucson, Accent, and Santa Fe. Manager Andy and his staff made us feel comfortable, there were no "pressure" sales, and we were free to take as much time as we needed. The location of the Jim Pattison Hyundai in Coquitlam is terrific for test drives, as it is right on the Lougheed Highway so you can quickly get up to highway speeds to really see how the cars handle. We researched extensively before deciding to buy a Hyundai, and we are very happy with our new Tucson! Would highly recommend dealing with Andy and the team in Coquitlam!
