As a community rural health professional, I put roughly 30,000 km per year on my vehicle & down time is not an option. Also need power under the hood for all the highway driving. For third time, Tom Geenan got me an excellent deal, combined promotions, put on the winter tire package, and had me back on the road with a new Escape 2.0 within the budget parameters I gave him at the beginning. Didn't feel disadvantaged at all as a woman in the negotiation process, either. Tom and Grant made it more than fair....and painless. Tom even came in on his day off to handle a complaint I had, and made it right immediately. Where else can you find that?
And the service department takes care of everything; extended hours (very extended) and free shuttle service. I've done recalls, maintenance, and repairs with them with no issues. THANK YOU TOM!

I had a fantastic experience with Merlin Ford Lincoln! We previously had a 2023 Grand Cherokee, but since we needed a larger vehicle, the Chevy Tahoe caught our eye. Irfan responded quickly, and I instantly fell in love with the way it drives and the spacious cargo area. Chris from finance also kept us updated throughout the process. I highly recommend Merlin Ford Lincoln—they provided a reasonable trade-in value for our vehicle as well. A well-deserved 5 stars from my side!
Booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance for my tail light issue. Took the truck there a day early waited all day the next day just to get a call that they can’t look at it. Needed the truck the next day so had to drive into the city and pick it up and drop it off again. They told me they would call and let me know the issue and go from there, so anyways fast forward I go to pick up the truck, and find out a wire was cut and they went ahead and fixed it. $439 for them to splice a wire, I would’ve been fine paying a diagnosis fee but when they go ahead and fix the issue without telling me so they can go and charge me an additional $172 to splice a wire and heat shrink it doesn’t sit right. And also how does it take 2 hours to find and splice a wire, seems a little ridiculous to me. Everyone should seriously consider supporting there small local honest shop instead of feeding money into these guys. Especially if when charge you for something you did not even authorize them to do. The invoice even says to diagnose and advise but never got a call just one to tell me they fixed it without my authorization. But of course Merlin won’t do anything about it because they only care about the 5 star reviews.
This is my second vehicle bought from Irfan at Merlin Ford Lincoln here in Saskatoon. I previously purchased a Ford Escape, but since I’m now commuting to a different city, I needed something bigger and more stable.
I was looking for a seven-seater, and that’s how I came across the 2020 Ford Explorer limited . Irfan immediately guided me through the process and offered an excellent trade-in value for my 2019 escape Titanium. The entire transaction was smooth and completed in a very short time.Ron from Finance is also very nice .
They also arranged winter tires for me, which was a huge help since I do a lot of commuting. Everything was handled effortlessly.

I purchased a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 from Merlin Ford (GO Auto). The total cost was approximately $30,000 once taxes and fees were included. When winter arrived shortly after purchase, it became clear the vehicle had a serious heater failure. Mercedes-Benz Saskatoon documented the issue within months after extensive diagnostics. A heater core backflush provided only marginal improvement, and I was advised the likely fix was a full heater core replacement (~$3,000).
I did decline the extended warranty. Based on that, and prior experience, I did not immediately return to the selling dealer once Mercedes confirmed the issue. The problem is seasonal, winter ended, and there were other legitimate interruptions that delayed follow-up, including a separate vandalism incident that resulted in nearly three months of loss of use. When cold weather returned, the heater problem remained, and the vehicle still cannot produce adequate heat, making it unsafe to operate in Saskatchewan winter conditions.
When I later approached Merlin Ford in good faith, provided documentation, and asked whether any goodwill or support was available, I was ignored until I followed up multiple times and then given a flat refusal. The only assistance offered was a referral to an independent shop. Thanks, Steven!
This is not about affordability or an extended warranty. It is about selling a vehicle with a basic safety system that does not function in our climate and declining any accountability once time has passed. Extremely disappointing experience and a lack of integrity. Buyer beware.

Three years ago, during routine oil changes, I noticed the coolant was being topped up every single time. I told the dealership this wasn’t normal for a car with such low mileage. A couple of weeks later, the engine had to be replaced under warranty.
About a month after picking it up, I spotted a dent on the front passenger door. A few days later, there was a serious leak from the vacuum pump. They fixed both issues, but fast-forward three years and I suddenly lost braking power while driving.
It turned out the vacuum hose had been routed under the turbo intake, where it slowly melted over time. This was a careless repair mistake that could have seriously endangered me and others on the road.
I know we don’t have many Ford dealerships in town, but for anyone reading this, think twice before taking your car to this one. And if you do, check your vehicle thoroughly afterward… or consider selling it right away.

had an ok service in merlin... we were entertained well by Tom, and except for the others we've been waiting there standing and the receptionist called for a sales person lots of them are available at that time but doesn't bother to entertain us.. why? because coz we were just wearing our work out clothes we just got out of the gym and decided to take A look of their suv vehicle, I was not really gonna trade my car but ended up going home with the a pre owned suv. the other sales person thought maybe we will just gonna waste their time, But sorry for them they just lost My sale... except for Tom he was pleasant and accommodating, and the only thing that I was upset off is the when I got the vehicle home for a couple of days and found out that the ceiling head liner has a of big gap I informed them and asked them if they can fix it and even went there and showed it to them the guy was surprised seeing that gap and him telling me it might be just like that,and I was like what duh heck 'was kinda annoyed to that guy and ended up them not fixing it and said ford won't cover the cost of fixing it I was really upset, them not really doing anything on what they promised saying it's a certified and there's nothing wrong with the vehicle... my mistake as well coz I wasn't able to check the vehicle very well its hard to noticed it though, well lesson learned.
Just wanted to say how awesome grant in finance and John in sales were when I bought my ford fusion. It's everything I wanted and I love it still I would highly recommend these two for anyone wanting an easy time buying a vehicle :)
